Insurtech startup launches innovative property inspection package

By HUB SmartCoverage Team on November 9th, 2017

As drones become more and more integrated into our society, it's only natural that their number of common uses will continue to grow. One use that appears poised to take off (pun very much intended) is drones as a tool for aiding the inspection and claims process for property insurance. And the company at the forefront of that is Betterview.

Betterview is officially launching a commercial drone inspection package for insurers that will give them a valuable eye in the sky during the assessment process. Its package will include the drone itself, software, and training materials. The software will make use of valuable technological tools such as artificial intelligence image analysis, professional reporting tools, 3D maps, measurements, and digital surface models.

"Betterview's goal with its inspection package is to make it easier for insurers, inspection, and claims adjusting companies to adopt drone technology," read a press release sent out by the startup.

Moreover, the package has been put together specifically in response to the market demand that was demonstrated to the company.

"Over the last year as the use cases of our software expanded within insurance, our clients started asking us more and more about providing a hardware and software solution. With our new insurance inspection kit, we'll be with you every step of the way, whether you need help onboarding staff, assistance with drone hardware or have questions about report output," explained Dave Tobias, chief operating officer and co-founder of Betterview.

In addition to all of that, Betterview has pledged to provide customers with replacement equipment should a problem arise and make "upgrading to the latest hardware a seamless experience."
