Nominations for the 2017 Insurance Business Awards Are Now Open

The Insurance Business Awards are returning in 2017, after the event’s inaugural outing last November. Once again, attendees will gather in the Liberty Grand in downtown Toronto, where 20 awards will be distributed to outstanding members of Canada’s insurance industry.

The event will take place on November 30, but the nomination process has officially begun. If you have had a particularly positive experience dealing with an insurer, either a company or individual, this is your opportunity to ensure they are recognized for their service. Nominations can be made on the official Insurance Business Awards site.

Nominations can be made for multiple categories, which include best brokerage over 10 people, the award for outstanding customer service by a brokerage, the award for woman of distinction and the Winmar award for outstanding claims service.

You can make a nomination any time between now and September 20. At that time a board will review all nominees and whittle the field down to 10. From those 10 finalists, a winner will be selected and announced, live at the event on November 30.

The Business Insurance awards is lively affair, with white tablecloths, gowns, black ties, live entertainment, photographers, trophies and speeches. Thinks Academy Awards, but insurance providers instead of move starts.
