Travelers Canada

Travelers Insurance was formed in 2009, when the St. Paul Fire and Marine insurance company merged with Travelers Guarantee company of Canada. The first half of the partnership has operated in Canada since 1928, giving the current incarnation some deep roots. And those roots spread right across the country.

With approximately 1,700 employees working in cities all over Canada, Travelers Insurance offers coast-to-coast service. The company also operates in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Brazil.

In order to take out an insurance policy with Travelers Insurance, an individual must go through a broker. The insurer itself does not deal directly with individuals, though they do offer direct customer service online or by phone. Travelers Insurance prides itself on providing the best coverage solutions for its clients, while working alongside brokers allows it to best meet that objective.

Underwriting is a focus of the company, which conducts painstaking analysis of key information to establish a realistic level of risk for every policy. This dedication is meant to leave every client with the proper coverage at a price that accurately reflects their likelihood of making a claim.

These policies help to fulfill Travelers Insurance’s three tenants of underwriting, risk control and claims services.

What does Travelers cover?

Ways to save with Travelers

Travelers Insurance offers policyholders numerous ways to save. Discounts for auto insurance are available to those who have completed driver’s education, those with a recent history of clean driving, those insuring multiple vehicles or those with a child attending college or university.

Homeowners are also eligible to save by meeting any number of criteria. Policyholders 45 or older are eligible to save, as are homeowners with alarm systems installed, or households with all non-smokers. Homeowners that have not filed a claim for three years will also receive a discount.

Bundling is another way to save with Travelers Insurance. If a client protects both their vehicle and home with the insurer, they will receive discounts on both policies.
